The professor, doctor tutor and former deputy director of Geology Department of Peking University, the deputy director of Jewelry Research Institute of School of Earth and Space Sciences, the technical director of PKUGAC, the deputy director of genetic mineralogy committee of Chinese Society for Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry，the standing director of Gems & Jewelry Trade Association of China, the director of Gems Identifier Exam Committee of China Gems & Jewelry Trade Association, the deputy director of gems committee of geology society and the expert of identification program of CCTV 2;

engaging in studying and teaching metamorphic geology, genetic mineralogy, crystallography and mineralogy and jades gemology; cultivated 20 graduate students and 8 doctors; compiled 5 monographs with others and published about 50 papers.
